What is Attachment?

The connection between the main caregiver and baby, otherwise known as attachment, is a bond unlike any other- one that lays part of the foundation for brain development and forms part of a template for future relationships to form.

This bond is formed by 9-12 months of life.

Attachment is the thing that allows our kids to go off on grand adventures and explore knowing that they can always come back for comfort and support.

Gingerbread Ink aims to support this attachment bond through developing caregiver reflective skills to facilitate a deeper level of emotional connection with your kids and bubs.

The great thing about the human brain is that it's incredibly flexible to learn new things- thanks to neuroplasticity. So enhancing the attachment bond when your child is any age is possible!
