Bub's brain


Did you know that the fastest growing period for the brain is in the first three years of life? The brain quadruples in size from birth to the time a child finishes Kindy. By 6 years of age, the brain is 90% of its adult size. Babies make 1 million neural connections per second. By age 6- they're only making 600 neural connections per second. Adults are making only a fraction of that figure.


No wonder why babies sleep so much! Lets face it- babies technically are working much harder than us!
